Singer-songwriter Micayla Shafran today announced her highly anticipated debut EP, set for release across all major streaming platforms later this year. Working with acclaimed producer Burt White and a team of skilled composers, Shafran is crafting what industry insiders are calling “an original sound never before heard by music listeners.” The EP showcases her signature smokey, smooth vocal tone weaving through lush orchestral arrangements, punctuated by modern rhythms and pop music motifs.

Born in New York City and now based in Miami, Shafran brings a remarkably diverse background to her music. A University of Miami graduate with a degree in Marine Affairs and minors in Ecosystem Science & Policy and Theatre Arts, she is also an accomplished figure skater and environmental advocate. This multifaceted experience informs her unique creative perspective.
Shafran’s musical journey began at age 12 with her first public performance singing the National Anthem at a Renegades baseball game. After completing her education, she expanded her artistic presence, making her runway debut at the Miami Fashion Music Conference in June 2024, where she received acclaim and an invitation to the New York Fashion Music Conference.
Beyond her musical innovations, Shafran is driven by a mission to uplift others and advocate for a more sustainable world. Her artistic vision extends beyond entertainment, aiming to create meaningful impact through her platform.
The forthcoming EP draws inspiration from life experiences with what Shafran describes as “the human condition,” influenced by 1950s resort chic culture and nautical themes from South Florida to the Caribbean.
